A previous translation to 1.0 (0.8, for instance) is just fine for me. Let us know when you finish the translation system that you have proposed, which seems to be the right way: easy and reasonable (and let us know if you need any help in this process). In my humble opinion of journalist, I think that Spanish version will improve the development of Props. As far as I know, spanish editors are very active users and bug trackers. NewsML and NITF are the markup languages used by the major news agencies. It would be great to have a system to import newswires directly from the newswire system, and export articles for syndication. Maybe future plugins for every newswire system (babel tower: NEWSML, NITF, ASCII, XML, RSS...) could do this job. OK for the cache (if there is no problem with seach engine spiders and with the size of the db after some years of using Props). About multimedia: A way to include video, audio and flash files in the articles, wich can be linked from any (many) articles or from the cover. About documental references: Links to other related articles. Or special reports (ie: War on Iraq), wich are articles that contains text, graphics and other articles related. Records with data about people, countries, organizations, companies (quotes) wich can be included in the articles. And keywords for documentation (maybe IPTC could be a good option). Antoher thing I miss is the possibility of openning channels for the different formats: www.mywebsite.com (html) wap.mywebsite.com (mobile phones) pda.mywebsite.com (pda) txt.mywebsite.com (light version) hnd.mywebsite.com (ie: for visually handicapped people) Sorry for this wish list. I know it sounds a bit complex because is related not only to information but also metainformation and it could be beyond Props targets, but these are features that I usually miss during the edition process.
