Hi Alan: We are always delighted to receive patches for PLplot. We like to focus most development activities via this plplot-devel mailing list so I suggest you simply submit your patches as attachments to your posts here. Alternatively, you could submit the patches at our SF patch site which assures they don't get lost in developer's e-mail storage. Notice of that patch site activity should automatically get forwarded to plplot-devel. Whichever patch submission method you use, you should continue the discussion of your patches here. Whether your patches get accepted or not for the pdf device driver probably depends mostly on Werner Smekal's opinion since he is the original developer of pdf.c. PLplot is entirely developed by volunteers, and we therefore are always interested in recruiting more volunteers to the project. However, we normally extend an invitation to become one of the core group of developers (with write access to the svn repository) only after a track record of good patches has been established demonstrating the developer's long-term interest in PLplot.
