I'm in the midst of a major rewrite of the wingcc driver where I'm porting the changes I made to the win3 driver into wingcc and fixing some oddities. The goal is to have a much better windows driver for those of us who need it and aren't using wxwidgets. I'm trying to decide if I should submit the driver as wingcc or whether it should be a new driver, say mswin. There will be very little code that my rewrite will share with wingcc, so I'm inclined to submit it as mswin. On the other hand, we are adding a new driver to the mix and the associated confusion of which driver should be used (wingcc, win3, or mswin). If I can get the new driver to build cleanly under gcc, visual studio, and other common windows compilers, do we want to deprecate the other drivers (win3 and wingcc)? |
