Hi, together with Werner Smekal I am working on a wxWidgets driver. When lookin= g at plplot a bit more carefully I came across the buffer facility. If I am correct this facility enables "automatic replotting of the plot by the driver" when the plotwindow is resized or zooming is required (without repetitive plotting by the user). Connected to this functionality I have 2 questions: - getting the buffer functionality to work seems not to be really straightforward, and I could not find much documentation about it. Any ideas, suggestions or links codes that do use the buffer will be highly appreciated - the buffer functionality uses a temporary buffer file. Would it not be wa= y faster to store the data in a memory buffer? With the current computers I think memory consumption will not be a problem. Any comments about this ide= a are welcome! Sjaak |
