You are in of course right. In fact according to the autobook (quoting the GNU coding standards) you can rely on the utility "ln" in you shell scripts, although you are recommended to use the autoconf macro AC_PROG_LN_S to set the variable LN_S since not all systems use the -s option for soft links. Oh well. Rafael's changes have fixed the problem in this instance anyway, though we could change some of the cp's to ln's I guess. I'll bear this in mind for next time. Andrew |
