We do this already for the RPMs. The point in my last message was that there is no point in distributing spec files with the tarball. > Does this also applies to the Debian stuff? Not really. The Debian packages are officially part of the Debian distribution. See, for instance: http://packages.debian.org/libplplot9 > BTW, there is a small incorrection in the release announcement: > ... > Also, the xwin driver uses now by default pthreads... > > which can be misleading, as pthreads must be explicitly enabled during > configure. Thanks for pointing this out. I changed the wording to: * In the xwin driver, a window resizing bug is fixed. This bug appeared when several windows were used in a pthreaded application. Also, the xwin driver uses now by default pthreads as well as "default visual". To disable them, the user has to use "-drvopt usepth=0" and "-drvopt defvis=0". Note that the usepth option is only effective when PLplot is configured --with-pthreads (which is now disabled by default). -- Rafael |
