Hi, I have correctly installed stage1.3.4 and player1.5. I can run stage and see one of the example worlds. My localhost name is "pasionaria" and the port to which stage is connected is the default 6665 (i've checked it with netstat) Whenever I try to connect a client of the examples, i.e. (./example_from _manual) in the player1.5/examples/c++, it takes a time(trying to connect) and then it gives me the following error (NOTE that I have already changed the host="localhost" to host="pasionaria" in the example file and recompiled it). My /etc/hosts also contains the loopdomain: 127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain pasionaria The error message: [root@pasionaria c++]# ./example_from_manual player_connect(): connect() failed: Connection timed out WARNING: unable to connect to "pasionaria" on port 6665 WARNING: tried to get 'r' access to device 0:5:0 but got 'e' access. WARNING: tried to get 'w' access to device 0:4:0 but got 'e' access. ERROR PlayerClient not connected [root@pasionaria c++]# Am I doing sth wrong? Thanks a lot for your feedback! vanessa |
