This isn't the right forum for step-by-step instructions on setting up your laptop, but Google will find plenty of such places for you. The first thing to do is to find out if your *exact* graphics hardware supports DRI, and whether there is a Linux driver available. Google these: <your exact laptop model name> DRI Linux <your exact graphics chipset as gleaned from your laptop technical specifications> DRI Linux 3D graphics on Linux on laptops is still shaky but improving quickly. Lots of people will have had the same question as you, so it's very likely you'll find an answer quickly.
