Hi Jayesh: An interesting question to which the short answer is "no", and the long answer is "yes, this is something we have discussed". Since there is a crying need for a good open-source *outdoor* mulit-robot simulator, we have had some discussions about how Stage could be extended to fill this role. Dont hold your breath, however, these are just half-arsed plans at the moment. In the shorter term, I think that it would be possible to add some *simple* terrain models to Stage. Everthing would still be done in 2D, but you could use the terrain model to modify the mobilty of robots and/or their sensory characteristics. If you want to have a go at this yourself, I can give you some tips on getting started. My first tip, however, is to wait a couple of days until we release the 1.2 version of Stage. We're just hacking on the manual at the moment, and should be releasing on Monday evening. Busy, busy, busy... A.
