Hi all! Good news (well, maybe...) for those scarce users of the ER1 robot: read this if you are interested in using your robot with player/stage platform.... There is a driver developed by people from the DIKU university (Denmark) (thank you, guys!) that allows using ERSP robots with player/stage, but it is only for Linux. For those that have only the Windows version of the ERSP 2.0 (like me) I have ported the driver to windows. It is in a early stage of development, but it works well to access motors, battery charge, oddometry, gripper, Evolution IR sensors and custom range sensors with analog output. I plan to add more staff (speech, vision and a PTZ camera) in the near future. Let me know if anyone is interested in trying the driver to post it here. I suppose there are no problems with distributing/modifying it, as it is GNU-licensed. I hope this will help someone...
