In your world file you need to create an extra set of object that you leave
just outside the active region of your stage map. These will effectively not
exist as far as your robots are concerned.

In a client application you will need to subscribe to the simulation
interface, and use the set_pose method of the simulation proxy to move the
object (or move it by hand in the stage gui)
