Toby, it's still not working. My /etc/ld.so.conf now looks like that: include /etc/ld.so/conf.d/*.conf /usr/local/lib /usr/lib The first line was already there and I added the other two. Then I did 'sudo ldconfig', try again and get the same error. Then I recompiled again but no luck either. /usr/local/lib and /usr/lib were already in LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
