The output I get when I first run the player roomba.cfg file is: /home/mylinux/Desktop/roomba.cfg:5 warning: field [provides] has unused element 3 /home/mylinux/Desktop/roomba.cfg:5 warning: field [provides] has unused element 4 /home/mylinux/Desktop/roomba.cfg:5 warning: field [provides] has unused element 5 Opening connection to Roomba on /dev/ttyUSB0...Done. Listening to ports: 6665 There is what I first get and then i start running the code and get this: accepted client 0 on port 6665, fd 6 closing connection to client 0 on port 6665 The accepted part comes right when I start running my program and the closing part comes when my program pauses and sends me the error messages I posted earlier. I thought I was connecting to the robot correctly but maybe I'm not. Thanks for your help. --Alan Geoffrey Biggs wrote: > > Does the player server give any messages at the same time? > > Geoff > > fscMoc wrote: >> When I connect my robot and try to run my code that works in stage I get >> this >> error : >> >> playerc error : poll call failed with error [0:Success] >> playerc error : recv failed with error [Success] >> warning failed to reconnect >> playerc warning : warning : no socket to write to >> playerc error : closed failed with error [Bad file descriptor] >> PlayerClient::Read()(-1) : recv failed with error [Success] >> >> The error happens when I call my .Read() function for the playerclient. >> I >> have been trying to figure out what is going wrong for the past few days >> but >> have gotten nowhere.
