Hi Charlie, do you have glib.h (from glib 2.x) installed somewhere? It would have been part of a "glib2.0-dev" or "glib2.0-devel" package. Also check for gtk2-dev etc. The configure script probably should have checked for it, but maybe it only checked for the glib library; you can look at config.log to see what exactly configure checked for and what its results were.
