Oh, you did. Sorry, I missed them. I would suggest first trying stage using the gps localisation method (which just reports the 100% accurate robot position) and putting that into vfh. See if it works there using both playernav and your program. Once that goes, try also subscribing to the amcl driver from your client program and printing out what estimates it's giving for the robot's position and comparing that with the accurate position information.
