When I was going through the last gnocatan source code prior to finding the latest version of pioneers, I only saw a few references to getaddrinfo, freeaddrinfo, and maybe one or two more. BTW - Thanks for creating the README.cygwin notes! It saved me a bunch of time trying to build gtk+, etc. on my RH9 box after not finding any appropriate rpms.
