Hi I dont have much to say about licensing but since this all started with "my" Peirce Quincuncial Projection (Peirce Quincuncial Projection -> GSL -> Licsensing Questions -> DMG is no longer maintainer of panotools) I feel a little bad now. I want to offer my help to solve this licensing problems. Maybe we could implement sth which makes it Ptgui (and other software) easier to call the executable file? Maybe a XML interface. Maybe the XML files could also be transfered by pipes or TCP/IP to the panotools executable to overcome the overhead of restarting the executable (I dont know if this also violates the GPL).
