You are right, but Apache::Test is much better as Apache::test it can do very much more. I try hard to give it a chance. I hope that with some help of Apache::Test a user can asure that PageKit runs fine if it passes all tests. I know a lot of users skip the test. In fact the errors are not inside PageKit if it does not run most ofeten another module is the reason. But from a newbie point of view he can not run pagekit. That should change. In my oppinion the installation of PageKit is the hardes part. > > As for installing old versions to get pagekit to install... just change > Apache::test to Apache::testold in Makefile.PL and you're good to go with > the lastest version of mod_perl. right, as rob says: with mod_perl >= 1.27 use this: cd Apache-PageKit perl -i -pe 's/Apache::test/Apache::testold/g' Makefile.PL make && make install > > Rob > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Dan Von Kohorn" <da...@vo...> > To: <pag...@li...> > Sent: Sunday, October 12, 2003 10:17 PM > Subject: [Pagekit-users] RFC: Installation of PageKit > > > Hi Boris, > > > > Every time I go to install on a new server, I'm reminded about the > > incompatibility with latest default install versions of Apache & > > mod_perl.
