Ticket [#191] will add generic support in OpenSAF for DNs longer than 255 bytes. Each individual OpenSAF service will also have to be adapted to support long DNs. SMF has high priority because it is used for upgrading the IMM model, where long DNs can be encountered.

This ticket is for adding support in SMF for using either the SaNameT tunneling APIs introduced in ticket [#191], or the new IMM APIs instroduced in ticket [#643].

  • The final patch will cover the long DN adaptations for SMF.
All parts of the source code where SaNameT is used will be adapted.
Currently AMF does not support long DNs. Function testing with long DNs will be done only for those parts which is not used by AMF:
    IMM operations done by:
    - campInitAction
    - procInitAction
    - procWrapupAction
    - campWrapupAction
