If you click on "filter" after a search, while the search only gives you results from the TM, but not from the project, OmegaT freezes.
Something related was fixed in 3.1: Problem using Filter in search window when no matches are returned [#653]
This solution probably needs to be extendend to the case where only TM/glossary results are given.

It happened to me in 3.1.7 with project results from orphan segments only.

  That's to be expected. From the Editor point of view, orphan results are the same as TM results: you cannot display them in the Editor.
