Alan and all, I think I am actually past this point. I followed all the different advice that everyone has given me and the kicker to this was installing net-snmp-perl from CPAN. I know I have done this before, but for some unknown reason, this worked. I downloaded net-snmp5.2.1.2.tar.gz from the site and then with someone else's advice, I installed the perl modules.
