(Even more - looking at vo_gl(2) implementation I found out that they don't support YUV textures which are supported by many modern cards) In general - it would be far enough to keep -vo sdl only to have every video driver which currently is implemented in mplayer(xp) (except vesa and vidix but include -vo sdl:aa -vo sdl:directfb and -ao sdl:alsa) Only thing why we need to keep direct support of unaccelerated surfaces is fact that our scaler is faster than sdl's. What about accelerated surfaces - there is no difference in speed between -vo xv and -vo sdl:xv for example. I hope that in the future it would be possible to replace multiple vcs_read_OSNAME with SDL too (and maybe even DVD*) > > A'rpi / Astral & ESP-team > > -- > Developer of MPlayer, the Movie Player for Linux - http://www.MPlayerHQ.hu > > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Bringing you mounds of caffeinated joy > >>> http://thinkgeek.com/sf <<< > > _______________________________________________ > Mplayerxp-general mailing list > Mpl...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/mplayerxp-general > Best regards!
