[Motion-user] how do i run motion as webcam server only.

hi there - i'm running ubuntu and was looking for a way to broadcast my web=
cam. all the software i tried (camserv, webcam-server, webcam_server...) se=
ems to complicated to work out. i did install motion before when i was toyi=
ng with a dedicated home security PC so i kind of have a headstart with and=
 i remember that i could stream the webcam output the problem is that motio=
n detecting and saving snapshots takes to much cpu and i was wondering how =
to operate motion as a webcam server only. i also understand that i need ca=
