I have added the output from the start of motion after compiling with V4L2_PIX_FMT_SN9C10X at the later position. I compared the images of motion with both palettes and the images of a programm ("videoview") written by the developer of the driver. I tested with a fixed value of "global gain" ("auto adjust" off) and with "auto adjust" on. In both cases the images of motion with palette "S910" were equal to the images of "videoview" but the images of motion with the palette "BA81" were much brighter (too bright with "auto adjust" on). How do you think about a command line option of motion to select the prefered palette? > Could you are your webcam in this Twiki topic ? > > http://www.lavrsen.dk/twiki/bin/view/Motion/WorkingDevices I will try to do that in the next days.
