https://github.com/sgjava/cvp/wiki/Architecture I've added ROI (motion based region of interest) people detection, so that process is 50%-2000% faster than analyzing the whole frame. I'm near solving real time people detection with OpenCV HOG on low end devices. Obviously this isn't best for a lot of people (like a mall or airport), but it's great for someone coming to your door even with a lot of ambient movement in the background.
