Zadeva: [Motion-user] Keep the camera centered on the moving object Hello, I've just bought a (cheap :$) IP cam (no constructor) which works well in motion detection with motion. My camera supports Pan/Tilt movements. I have a great room to watch and, instead of buying several cameras, I would like my camera works like a sentinel and keep its eye centered on the moving object as far as possible. My first question is : does this correspond to the motion function called "auto tracking" which appears in the motion.conf file? =======> IF YES: My camera is piloted via its web server, and to perform operations you have to get some URLs. For instance, to move the camera to the left you just get http://CAM_IP/decoder_control.cgi?command=0 and it moves to the left until you get http://CAM_IP/decoder_control.cgi?command=1 which means STOP. My second question in this case is : is the motion's pan/tilt tracking able to control this camera? I guess that it can only command motors plugged on serial ports. =======> IF NO: If it doesn't correspond to "auto tracking", I have to find a program (or to create it myself) deciding if it should move the camera and how. My second question in this case is: does a free equivalent to motion wich matches my need? If no, I will try to create it myself. To do that, I would like to use motion to detect the moving object and export the coordinates of its barycenter (for exemple the center of the box drawed when the parameter "locate" is "on". Is it possible? I'm afraid that the fact that the entire image changes while the camera moves can make it impossible. I've not a perfect english but I hope you've understood :) Thx by advance Not sure if allowed, but could you share your experiences with camera (interesting cause it works under motion and is cheap)... Thanks , Regards, Bulek. |
