Mathias, you can try to use the 'lightswitch' option to eliminate this initial burst. But depending on the version of motion you are running right now, it may be necessary to upgrade to the latest SVN code. We have changed th= e preview code just some days ago, because it was not respecting all the rules of motion/no-motion and could show an image that was not meant to have motion. Just give it a try with your current installation and let me know if it solves your problem. Brgds Joerg.
