HI Alex, Jure et al, Thinking about a release of MorphixLiveKiosk:- http://www.barwap.com/morphix/livekiosk/MorphixLiveKiosk_pre1.iso As Jure and I have discussed the LiveCD does not have to be rebuild to be customised, just tweak :- http://svn.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.cgi/morphix/trunk/scripts-mini/MorphixMini-KioskSetting.xml?view=markup Then morphmini, isomorph --add mini, morphix-rebrand. As per the HowTo:- http://www.morphix.org/manual/how_tos/docbook_html/ar01s05.html http://www.morphix.org/manual/how_tos/docbook_html/ar01s07.html#AutoLaunch The LiveKiosk contains java binaries. built using this minmodule:- http://svn.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.cgi/morphix/trunk/scripts-mini/MorphixMini-KioskAddins.xml?view=markup <flamebait> It contains the Java license:- ftp://ftp.uk.linux.org/pub/linux/java/JDK-1.4.2/i386/rc1/LICENSE ... 3.0 LICENSE RESTRICTIONS 3.1 Licensee may not duplicate Licensed Software other than for a single copy of Licensed Software for archival purposes only..... So the MorphixLiveKiosk_pre1.iso is for archival purposes only. Also before the java (& flash) binaries can be used, boot option nonfree=ok must be invoked. This will then display, under the bootsplash each page of the adobe and java license, which is quite a delay in boot-up. Hence I feel I am complying with the spirit of the license, [Even thought I would love it to be GPL] This may spark a healthy discussion..... </flamebait> Any hurdles before a full release ? Regards, Brendan |
