It is used because some work colleagues have been using that repository during a long time. I had mysql issues due to that repository. Plesk packages their own repositories (included httpd) and you need to update those packages through plesk. Its very diferent from virtualmin control panel because virtualmin which packages management is less intrusive. Then we need to downgrade and install from centos repositories. Anyway I have been watching code you send me: +/* ap_get_server_version() is gone in 2.3.0. + * It was replaced by two calls in 2.2.4 and higher: + * ap_get_server_banner() + * ap_get_server_description() + */ +#if (AP_SERVER_MAJORVERSION_NUMBER > 2) \ + || ((AP_SERVER_MAJORVERSION_NUMBER == 2)&& (AP_SERVER_MINORVERSION_NUMBER > 2)) \ + || ((AP_SERVER_MAJORVERSION_NUMBER == 2) && (AP_SERVER_MINORVERSION_NUMBER == 2) && (AP_SERVER_PATCHLEVEL_NUMBER >= 4)) +#define apache_get_server_version() ap_get_server_banner() +#else +#define apache_get_server_version() ap_get_server_version() +#endif The error shows undefined symbol: ap_get_server_banner, It is like the mod_security compiled by third repository didn´t recognize that function. Older versions of mod_security works right but does not shows repository but I guess its compiled from the same third repository. yum info mod_security-2.5.9-1.el5 base | 1.1 kB 00:00 centos-5-i386-base | 871 B 00:00 centos-5-i386-hostalia | 871 B 00:00 centos-5-i386-updates | 871 B 00:00 dell-omsa-indep | 1.9 kB 00:00 dell-omsa-specific | 1.9 kB 00:00 extras | 2.1 kB 00:00 spacewalk-client | 2.1 kB 00:00 updates | 1.9 kB 00:00 Installed Packages Name : mod_security Arch : i386 Version : 2.5.9 Release : 1.el5 Size : 2.2 M Repo : installed Summary : Security module for the Apache HTTP Server URL : http://www.modsecurity.org/ License : GPLv2 Thanks for your info and help.
