** Bug Fixes in MH-E 8.5

*** mh-rmail doesn't switch to +inbox

The function mh-rmail' now switches to+inbox' as expected (closes SF #271).

*** Problem forwarding a messsage

Forwarding messages resulted in the error: `(wrong-type-argument number-or-marker-p nil).' This has been fixed by setting the mail separator (closes SF #270).

The tickets have been merged. The name of the combined tool is Tickets.

Note that the URL still has bugs in it. I've put in a request to rename it to tickets.

The developers have agreed to ultimately merge feature requests, patches, and bugs into a single tool and use the labels (tags) feature to distinguish these. Until the feature to move tickets between tools has been implemented (see below), please post all new tickets in "bugs."

By the way, if you have a suggestion for the merged tool, please let us know. This name will appear in the list of tools at the top of the MH-E project page (Bugs), in URLs (https://sourceforge.net/p/mh-e/bugs/), and in artifact links ([mh-e:bugs:269]).... read more

MH-E is the Emacs interface to the MH mail system. This version of MH-E fixes typos in the documentation and is packaged with GNU Emacs 24.1. If you have Emacs 24 or MH-E 8.3, you don't really need this release since there are no user-visible changes. It exists for completeness.

In 2011, the MH-E team followed suit and upgraded the MH-E repository at SourceForge from CVS to Bazaar as well. The result is version 8.3 of MH-E, which includes needed changes to the build scripts.

Otherwise, this is a small release that includes mostly internal changes from the Emacs team. One of these changes manifests itself in the user interface--you can now complete folders with abbreviations, meaning that `+f/b/b TAB' can complete to `+foo/bar/baz'.... read more

MH-E is the Emacs interface to the MH mail system. Version 8.2.91 fixes the folder window problem that was introduced in 8.2.90. It also fixes compilation warnings in XEmacs 21.5.31, as well as an error when running XEmacs 21.5.31 in a terminal.

Another implication of the VCS change is that users who download MH-E from SourceForge and explicitly load MH-E will have to be change their `load-path' to "/path/to/mh-e/emacs/trunk/lisp/mh-e" instead. Note the addition of "trunk."... read more

MH-E is the Emacs interface to the MH mail system. Version 8.2 of MH-E, a small release that includes internal changes from the Emacs team and contains a new hook, `mh-pack-folder-hook', will appear in GNU Emacs 23.1.

There is a known bug where you can't attach attachments in Emacs 21. This will be fixed in 8.2.1.

After three years in the making, I am extremely pleased to announce that the MH-E manual for MH-E 8.0 is finally finished; the manual has been completely reorganized, and has been updated with all of the changes and new features introduced since version 5. Screenshots have been updated for Emacs 22,

Starting with this release, I am now setting the version number of the manual to correspond to the version of the software that it represents. This should make it easier for users to correlate the manual with the software version, and is more in keeping with the versioning I see in the Debian GNU/Linux distribution for example.... read more
