factor(r^2-3*r+3,a^3+1)
Error: Caught fatal error [memory may be damaged]
Error signalled by PFACTORALG1.
(should be irreducible)

This happens regardless of the setting of GCD.

Note that various close-by cases work just fine:

..., a^2+3   (factors)
..., a^2+2   (irreducible)
..., a^2+1   (irreducible)
..., a^3+3   (irreducible)
..., a^4+1   (irreducible)
..., a^4+3   (factors)
..., a^6+3   (factors)

Fixed in cvs: no error message now, but factors main expr if possible.

Simpler case: factor(q^2+1,a^2-1);

In general, this seems to happen when the second argument 
isn't irreducible over the integers (which it is supposed to be).

This should not cause a fatal error, but an error message.
