Hello Pierre, I apologize, but I don't speak French (despite my name). So I'll respond in English. > I want to create a file of datas with maxima to produce an histogramm > with gnuplot. > How must I order the datas? In a list? or in a matrix(n,2) ? or in > sequence [[.,.][.,.]......]? > How can I produce the file xxx.dat ? If you have already computed the data and you only want to write the data to a file -- The function write_data in the package numericalio writes data to a file. For example, M : matrix ([1, 2], [11, 22], [111, 222]); write_data (M, "/tmp/tmp.out"); printfile ("/tmp/tmp.out"); => 1 2 11 22 111 222 To see information about write_data, ? write_data If you have not already computed the data -- The functions barsplot and histogram in the descriptive package make histograms, for discrete and continuous data, respectively. load (descriptive); loads the package. ? barsplot ? histogram should display information about them. Note: The descriptive package is new in Maxima 5.9.3, and older versions of Maxima do not have it. Both barsplot and histogram assume the input is a list of values, which are counted to find relative frequencies. So you don't need to count them before calling barsplot or histogram. Hope this helps, Robert Dodier __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com |
