Category: Lisp Core - Integration Group: None >Status: Closed >Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: https://www.google.com/accounts () Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: integral from minf to inf of an absolute value combo fails Initial Comment: Maxima 5.24.0 http://maxima.sourceforge.net using Lisp SBCL 1.0.24 Distributed under the GNU Public License. See the file COPYING. Dedicated to the memory of William Schelter. The function bug_report() provides bug reporting information. (%i1) integrate(abs(x - 1) + abs(x + 1) - 2*abs(x),x,minf,10); (%o1) 2 (%i2) integrate(abs(x - 1) + abs(x + 1) - 2*abs(x),x,minf,inf); (%o2) 0 The answer should be 2 for ANY interval containing [-1,1]. Interestingly, it seems to work for every combination of inf/minf and numbers, but not for minf to inf - that seems to be the only failing example. See original report at http://trac.sagemath.org/sage_trac/ticket/11445. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Dan Gildea (dgildea) Date: 2011-06-09 15:55 Message: Fixed in defint.lisp master branch. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=104933&aid=3313531&group_id=4933 |
