I have been testing Aleph One (via Marathon Infinity) using my new Macbook Pro with Retina Display. 8 GB RAM, 256GB SSD, 2.3GHz.

On first run, Infinity went full screen and loaded, you could hear the music, etc. But the menu was huge and offset, to where you couldn't really push any of the buttons.

I manually edited the preferences file, turning off auto-resolution and forcing it to 1440x900. This changed the size of the menu, but it was still "offset" and the buttons didn't work. It thinks you are off target when you try to push one of the buttons.

So far, the only success I've had is using Windowed mode. If I manually edit the preferences, open Marathon Infinity, and then uncheck Windowed mode in the GUI, it works as expected and everything is fine. However, I have to do this every time.

This is my first bug report and I'm not one of the developers, so I hope I did this okay. Feel free to relay any questions to david (at) edmohio (dot) com.

By the way, I'm running Mountain Lion.

Workaround: disabling automatic graphic switching in System Preferences -> Energy Saver makes fullscreen work here, in OS X 10.8.3

Subversion revisions 4938 and 4939 contain workarounds for this issue.

Retina issues appear to be resolved now. If you continue to have problems with the latest Aleph One release, please open a new ticket.
