I'm using LXTerminal 0.2.0 and I'm noticing that links are getting underlined if they are hovered with the mouse while also the mouse cursor changes. Maybe this can be enhanced a little:

  • On clicking a link LXTerminal could pass it to the default browser to open it.
  • Maybe there could also be an option to completely disable this feature.

The 'standard' vte way of handling things is that you need to ctrl-click to open links in default browser. This already works. The ctrl-click is to avoid accidentally spawning a browser simply because you clicked in the terminal window.

I can look into an option to disable it. Are there typical use cases where you'd want it disabled or is it purely cosmetic?

Thanks for the hint with CTRL + click. And personally for me such an option would be just for cosmetic reasons.
