[Lsid-developer] Experiences on the development of LSID clients

    Hi all,

    I am performing an analysis of the existing LSID software and will 
present a talk about that in a meeting this weekend.

    So far I could collect enough information about most of the existing 
LSID software components, but I could not explore as much the 
characteristics of both Perl and Java toolkits regarding development of 
LSID clients.

    So I was wondering whether anyone on this list would share their 
experiences using the LSID stacks to develop any kind of client 
software. I am particularly interested in learning more about potential 
gaps and shortcomings in the current client software so that my group 
and I can plan on how to address those issues in the future.

    Any comments on the subject would be greatly appreciated.
