Hi Rick,
depending how long your filter takes it may be more appropriate to use a small script.
depending on the load you may get a lot of ugly behaver because lpd spawns to process
for the filter. therefore i prefer a
lp=|/my/script.sh
where myscript do all the filtering

NTL it should not be possible to remove a file while a filter is running as the delete
should get a "file busy" error.
