Lilith3D 1.5 Released

v1.5 of Lilith3D adds new features for game development. Lilith3D now supports MD2 animation, pathing in and through buildings, and GLSL shaders for improved rendering quality and performance. The APIs have been simplified and startup resources are better managed.

Lilith3D 1.3 Released

Lilith3D is a geo-morphing game engine. Version 1.3 adds full tutorials! A sequence of 7 tutorials walk the developer through the engine and the steps in creating a simple game.

Also in v1.3 in an improved API, better memory management, performance optimizations, and visual rendering improvements.

Lilith3D 1.2.0 Released

Trees...whole forests of trees can be rendered in Version 1.2 of the Lilith3D engine. In the foreground, trees are full 3D models. As they move to the background, they are stippled to billboards to reduce the number of polygons being streamed to the card. The billboards are automatically created by the engine at initialization time.

Version 1.2.0 also adds decals for spell and bomb damage, footprints, lava, and similar terrain effects.... read more

Lilith3D 1.1.0 Released

Version 1.1 adds 3D textures to the terrain renderer, which gives the terrain more color and a more realistic look. It also increases the rendering speed significantly - as much as 50% depending on the card.

Also new is this version is a flexible, powerful quaternion based camera.
