BTW - this is pretty easy with Paraview. Just name your displacements disp_x disp_y and disp_z ... and then when you load the result click the little checkbox next to "Apply Displacements". The box with the "1" in it right next to that checkbox allows you to "exaggerate" the displacements if you wish.
