Hi. We are upgrading our code so that it uses lcms 2.6 instead of lcms 1. So far we are concentrating on RGB > RGB transforms and love the improved performance and the reduced memory requirements while transforming. I have performed some comparisons with images converted using the two versions and visually they look the same. However, the output pixel values being generated are not the same. In my tests I have used input profiles embedded within the images (Adobe RGB / ProPhoto RGB) and the same output sRGB ICC Profile file. When I create the transforms I am using 0 for the Intent (Perceptual) and 0 for the flags. Before I progress further and upgrade our CMYK and Greyscale conversion code I would like to know if this is expected or if the pixel values should be the same and there is a problem somewhere. Thanks.Kev. |
