Hi out there, normally I compile the SuSE 8.0 packages of kile. But when I tried to compile the new stable version 1.5.2 I got a error message while doing the ./configure: ... checking build system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu checking host system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu checking target system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c checking for -p flag to install... yes checking whether build environment is sane... yes checking for gawk... gawk checking whether make sets ${MAKE}... yes checking for style of include used by make... GNU checking for gcc... gcc checking for C compiler default output... configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables Trying the former unstable 1.5.2b brought the same error. I thought perhaps someone/somthing crahed my compiler so I tried to reinstall the gcc-rpm from my distribution. I startet the rpm-command and got an error message "segmentation fault" or in german "Speicherzugriffsfehler". I can install other rpm's without any problems so I thought perhaps my hard disk has an error. But verifying the hard disk with the utilities from my scsi-controller didn't solve the problem (0 defects, no errors). So my hard disk works fine. Does anyone know how this problem could be solved? My system is running very stable, no crashes the last six months. And I changed nothing the last weeks. Perhaps an error in my file-system? I use the ext3-fs. While booting I do not get any error or suspicious messages on the screen. The log files say that everything runs fine... Please tell me if I should post my hardware and software when it's necessary for solving the problem. Greetings and thanks for all answers Andreas -- http://www.ha-systems.de |
