Kile is an excellent LaTeX editor, on the same level as the best commercial ones. I use it to write papers, summaries, exercises and my thesis. Highly recommended.

Kile is amazing. Beautiful and feature rich. I use it on my FreeBSD desktop and laptop. Works great with Texlive and other TeX systems. Hope it can move to KDE 4.x.

It's a very good LateX editor. Makes creating .tex, .bib files really easier. But i hope the developers will move it on to latest KDE versions
