Category: General Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 8 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: David Gilbert (mungady) Summary: DateAxis tick marks display wrong with lowermargin of 0 Initial Comment: If a DateAxis is used on a time series chart and its lower margin is set to 0, the tick marks show the wrong values when the tick unit is 15 minutes or 30 minutes. For example, if you chart 12 hours worth of data, with each time period being 30 minutes, the date axis will show the following tick mark values: 00:29, 00:59, 01:29, 01:59 etc instead of 00:30, 01:00, 01:30, 02:00 etc I have attached an example demo application that reproduces the problem. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Bradley Ross (bradleyross) Date: 2008-09-16 14:05 Message: I just ran into something very similar on a project I was working on. I had set the start and end times of the plot to midnights of the appropriate dates and set the tick marks for every six hours. The first time period came across as being 5 hours long, with all of the later intervals being six hours long. I worked around the problem by moving the start time of the plot two milliseconds earlier. I used setLowerBound to set the start of the axis to milliseconds before midnight. The problem seems to be when using the constructor for DateTickUnit with a integer value other than one and the lower bound of the date range axis is exactly at the start of an interval for the tick. I'll attach more details later and try to pare down the example program to a more manageable size. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: David Gilbert (mungady) Date: 2008-04-08 17:33 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=112975 Originator: NO Thanks for the report, and especially the demo code. I'll look into this.
