Hm, I guess that's the system time of the Mac OS X in the VMware VM I use. I only use it for building the jEdit releases, so this could be the "problem". If I remember it, I will check it when doing the next release. :-)

Yep, seems to be it. The date was right now when resuming the VM December 31st 1999. I corrected the date before finishing the build for Mac, so I hope with the 4.3 release this is fixed. Please reopen if it is still an issue with the upcoming release.

This is an issue for the distrubutor. I believe this is vampire. Assigning to you, vampy :)
