hi, We use Java Groups in one of our projects and along with it we also use a different Data Service. For the Data Service we use the following script ------------------------------------------------------------------------ #!/bin/sh # I would prefer it this way, but there does not seem to be a way to # find out the HOME of the JDK ... # : ${JAVA_HOME:="@@@JAVA_HOME@@@"} # ... If there is no JDK, simply set the following ... # : ${JRE_HOME:="$JAVA_HOME/jre"} # ... but we have to refer to the JRE only! : ${JRE_HOME:="/projects/rvj5656/j2sdk1_3_1_05/jre"} : ${JACORB_HOME:="/home/grads/rvj5656/cis825/proj/Jacorb"} export JACORB_HOME : ${JACORB_THREADS:="-native"} # call java interpreter exec ${JRE_HOME}/bin/java ${JACORB_THREADS} \ -Xbootclasspath:${JACORB_HOME}/lib/jacorb.jar:${JRE_HOME}/lib/rt.jar:${CLASSP$ -Dorg.omg.CORBA.ORBClass=org.jacorb.orb.ORB \ -Dorg.omg.CORBA.ORBSingletonClass=org.jacorb.orb.ORBSingleton \ "$@" --------------------------------------------------------------------- we found that both, this Data Service and Java group work independently with our code but when we integrate both these Services (Data Service and Java Groups) somehow Java Groups doesnt work.(Problem is that our clients and servers just do not connect to each other even though they try to do so on same channel. All Clients and Servers show, in the View only one member connected which is themselves). I was wondering if there is something in above script that conflicts with Java Groups. Or Use of Naming Service (used by the Data Service) etc. cause conflicts with Java Groups. Thanks in advance Ruchir CIS - Kansas State University |
