No

In my area of research (and I assume several other), there are words which should always be in a specific case, independent of the bst. For example, Fourier, FFT, FPGA, VLSI, ms, etc.

It would therefore be useful if jabref could provide an automated way to add {} brackets on import (or as a separate command) for a specified list of words and an interface to add these words. Maybe it would make sense to have separate default lists for different subject areas and then provide the opportunity to have a user one?

My initial idea is to check that the case in the title is as expected and in that case add brackets (as there can be ms, mS, Ms, and MS). Maybe it doesn't make sense to add unit related words in the default lists, but at least common names and acronyms should be really useful.

If someone points me in the right direction to where and how the "best" way to implement such a feature, I could give it a try, as I would really benefit from it (only an EE list will be provided though...). Really annoying to (miss to) add the {} every now and then, not the mention colleagues who do not even know they should. ;-)

(Does this feature already exist? I couldn't find it anyway...)

An initial approach for this is now included. However, it only includes a list of abbreviations and names from EE and CS. For next release there will be support for files and possibly editing these files.

There's a hard coded list, mainly for Electrical engineering and Computer Science in the current beta.
