I use XMonad, and hence am often resizing windows by changing layouts. I note that when JabRef shifts from slave to master window (i.e. small to large) the Details pane expands to take up the maximum amount of space (i.e. essentially the entire height of my monitor).

It would be much nicer if it resized just to the smallest possible size.
