Hello, how about making groups a bit more tag-like?

Right now, in order to categorize citations I need to right click them, go to groups, add, etc. It can be slow if doing this to a large number of citations, each with its own groups. Also, I'm not sure that it's possible to quickly see the groups a citation belongs to.
I thought about adding another tab (where the required and optional fields, review, etc are), calling it "groups" and in there showing all groups with checkboxes, so one can quickly add a citation to certain groups and see in what groups it already exists.

I believe the feature that I was also going to recommend is similar to this one. I would like the ability to place my bib entries into categories and it would be quite nice the functionality were similar to that of gmail's labels.

In the "view" menu, you can select "Highlight groups that match any/all selected entry/entries". This only seems to underline the corresponding groups in the group window.

I would like to request a more customisable appearance of this feature, e.g. highlighting the group with a unique colour.

I also second a more elegant way for assigning groups to entries.

(Please, could somebody delete all the spam?)

The newest development version will write the explicit group membership as a normal field. Thus this information is can now easily be edited.
