For some bibtex entry, we don't have an "author" but only and "editor" (or am I making an incorrect use of BibTex ?)
The visiblity in the display table is not very clear, because if we have two columns (author and editor), then most of the time one is empty and it takes much space (cf. screenshot). If we have one column, then some important infos can be missing.
My suggestion is to display the editor(s) in the author column, when there is no author (possibly adding an "(ed[s].)" for clarity matters).
What do you think of it ?
Yes, this would be a handy feature. If I recall correctly, EndNote does it this way. Not that I am suggesting JabRef emulates EndNote, but it did throw me off a bit when I first switched to JabRef.
