Hej,
Right now, I'm importing citations from txt files I saved from ScienceDirect and/or ISI Web of Science. Is it possible to include database serach options for these two great databases. I'd like to look for publications without leaving the JabRef.
Citavi is able to do this, but in a really limited way...
Cheers,
Jan
Hi,
+1 for this request.
For me, medline is already good but ISI WOS would be a big step forward. Also, there are a number of databases that follow the z39.50 protocol. In summary it would be great to be able to do the same searches as possible in BibDesk: ISI, Library of Congress, z39.50
cheers, nils
Yes, JabRef would very much be able to catch up with e.g. BibDesk or Papers with a online database access to Thomson Reuters Web of Knowledge (WOK aka Web of Science). There is a simple SOAP-based interface to the WOK database:

I have written a short perl script which allows to test this WOK SOAP interface (attached here). I'm happy to be a JabRef tester for this, and I know of many JabRef users who would wish a WOK search capability.
